Air India is going to ban single-use plastic from 2nd Oct 2019.

In first phase it will be implemented in all flights of Air India Express and Alliance air.

In second phase will be implemented in Air India flights.

Taking measures to improve first-class service

During Apr-July, Air India had an operating loss of Rs 170 crore vs operating loss of Rs 802 crore yr ago

Currently load factor is around 82%, yield was up 10% YoY in July

There are merger, de-merger issues but debt is the biggest problem for Air India.
