#2018

#BE ALERT WHILE READING EACH STEPS:-

-TOTAL 7-STEPS OF PROCESS GUYS–

?In November-2016, Emirates suddenly stopped hiring new cabin crew. Since then, there’s been a complete recruitment freeze but in a surprise move, Emirates recently announced recruitment would restart “Soon”. And now we finally have confirmation that Emirates is once again accepting applications.

?#However, the application process is very different to how you might remember it. Here’s what you need to know….

?#Emirates will no longer hold Open Day’s – instead candidates will be expected to submit an online application via the official Emirates careers website. And before you get invited to an Assessment Day, you’ll first need to pass a pre-recorded video interview.

#Step 1. Submit #Online Application??
*The Background
*There used to be two ways to submit a Cabin Crew application for Emirates. Either by completing an online application or turning up at an Open Day. Then, in November 2016, Emirates announced they would no longer be running any more Cabin Crew Open Day’s.

*Instead, all Cabin Crew applications will have to be submitted via the Emirates Group Careers website.

*Medically fit

#Is Emirates Hiring?

#Emirates has just opened up cabin crew recruitment. We still don’t have details of how many crew will be hired or when Assessment Day’s will be held.

#Step 2 – #Video Interview??

#Resume Used to Shortlist Applicants-

*Recruiters will review your online application and shortlist applicants that match their requirements. It’s important to note that your resume will be screened by computer software – This process will have a big factor in your success.

*Creating an excellent resume will massively increase your chances at this vital stage. I would highly recommend following this step-by-step guide to writing a Cabin Crew resume. You’ll find loads of information to create your perfect resume, as well as free templates designed to pass the computer screening.

#Pre-Recorded Video Interview-

#If your resume is shortlisted, you’ll then be invited to take part in a video interview. The interview is pre-recorded and accessed through a special webpage. Again, computer analytics will review your performance before a recruiter shortlists you.

#Step 3 – #Assessment Day???

#Choose a Date and Location?

*After recording the Video Interview, it may take some time before you hear back from Emirates. Once you’ve been shortlisted you’ll be invited to participate in an Assessment Day.

*Emirates will still be running Assessment Day’s in cities around the world. You’ll be able to choose a date and location that is most suitable for you. However, if you need to travel to a different country or city, Emirates will not be able to reimburse you for travel costs.

#What Happens???

#Assessment Day’s are a popular recruitment method that are used to screen a large number of candidates. The day will be made up of a number of elements used to test your suitability for the role of Cabin Crew. There may be points where candidates are further shortlisted before moving to the next element in the day.

#Step 4 – #Final Interview????

#Unfortunately, the majority of candidates who attend an Assessment Day won’t be invited to Final Interview. The competition is extremely tough so making it to this stage is a really big achievement.

*The interview will normally last between 25-40 minutes. We expect, future Final Interview’s to be held on the same day as the Assessment Day. However, in the past, the interview has sometimes been scheduled for the next day or a mutually agreed later date.

#Competency Based Interview:-?

*The interview will be made up of competency and behavioral based questions. You’ll need to have examples from your previous work experience that prove you possess the skills, qualities and competencies that the Emirates recruiter is looking for.

*It can take time to gather the evidence and become comfortable with your answers. You should, therefore, prepare for the Final Interview at the earliest opportunity.

#Step 5 – #Personality Test ???

*Emirates uses a special online personality test for candidates who have reached the Final Interview. The test should take about fifteen minutes to complete. It’s designed to filter out unsuitable applicants and predict which candidates will perform best in the role

#How to Prepare?????
*The system used by Emirates isn’t like a traditional personality test such as the Predictive Index or Myers-Brigg assessment. It’s specifically tailored to what Emirates is looking for in its future Cabin Crew.

*Although you should be yourself and answer the questions truthfully, there are effective ways to best prepare for the test. We developed an article, alongside input from cut-e, the company that supplies the Emirates personality test that will help you through this stage: How to Ace the Cabin Crew Online Personality Test

#Step 6 – #Central #HR Approval?????

*Emirates very rarely hold Assessment Day’s in Dubai. So, once you’ve completed all these stages your file will be sent to Dubai for approval.

#What Deciding Factors Are Used?
*The methods that the recruitment team use at this stage is a closely guarded secret. However, we know that they assess your performance throughout the recruitment journey to make their decision.

*This includes the original resume you submitted, your performance at the Assessment Day and how you performed in the Final Interview. Recruiters will also assess the photographs you submitted – as well as two ‘casual’ photographs that you’ll be asked to submit at this stage.

#The Golden Call*??☎
*The recruiters also use other criteria that do not reflect on your performance. This can include your language skills, nationality, gender and age.

*These decisions are based on the needs of the airline at the time your file is submitted. There are lots of rumors about this stage but we’ve cleared up the top myths in this helpful article: True or False? The Cabin Crew Recruitment Rumors that Won’t Go Away

*If the central recruitment team approve your selection you’ll receive a telephone call from a recruiter – known as the ‘Golden Call’. If you’ve been unsuccessful, an autoresponder ‘regret’ email will be sent to you.

#Stage 7 – #Medicals and #Final Approval???

#Submit Medical Report
*You’ll need to submit a medical report from your doctor based on a questionnaire supplied by Emirates. You only need to do this once you’ve received the ‘Golden Call’.

*Cabin Crew medical standards are governed by the General Civil Aviation Authority (#GCAA) in the UAE. However, the minimum medical requirements required for Emirates Cabin Crew surpass that of the GCAA.

*The #UAE has also recently introduced the requirement for background checks on all ex-pats seeking a work visa in the country. You will need to provide police certificates proving you do not have any criminal convictions.

#Start On boarding Process????

#If your medical results are satisfactory you’ll receive final confirmation from the Emirates recruitment team. Access will be granted to a special section of the Emirates Group Careers website. In this section, you’ll find details about your course start dates, travel arrangements and allocated accommodation.
